A regular question that we get asked here at Elderberry Event Hire is how do I layout my wedding to get the best out of the event space. Our usual response generally begins with a phrase such as “are you having a party or a relaxed affair?”, we can nearly always guarantee that the response will be “party”.  So here are some tips from us on how to set up a really spectacular party with our circular marquees.

• Set up various different style seating arrangements. This last year we have turned our attention to lots of different style seating as generally at weddings you have all types of age groups and personalities attending. Try to mix relaxed cane lounges with comfortable dining chair arrangements that offer back support for the older guests, Our crossback chairs are a really great option as they are very comfortable. Utilise cocktail style seating for the younger crew (dancers) these guys need to be near your dancefloor be it inside or outside the marquee. Vintage lounges and rugs are a great way of adding a luxury feel to the inside of the marquee. At Elderberry Event Hire we have a range of textiles and rugs available for hire.
• Have an alfresco area to have a cocktail reception or  create the dancing area which enables two different style spaces using the marquee. The sailcloth marquee has open sides which allows us to make spaces flow into one another and create a light airy feel in the marquee event space. Put the dancefloor themed with some festoon lights and posts outside the marquee to create a fantastic alfresco area. Frame the dancefloor with bar style bentwood stools, rustic wine barrels or our white hairpin tables and there you have a stunning dancing space.
• Place the bar centrally in the marquee, the bar is a really important space for a wedding.
