Your wedding is fast approaching and you look at so many different wedding marquee options; these days there are so any options such as tipi’s, clear ceiling marquees and the traditional marquee. When Elderberry Event Hire were thinking of adding a marquee  to our wedding and a event hire range there was no doubt that our decision was made when we saw a sailcloth marquee. With a height of five metres on the king post structure, its wood veneer and the light catching sailcloth fabric we realised that these marquees were the perfect combination with our floristry style and solid wood furniture hire.

As I stylist, my imagination went wild thinking about ways in which to decorate these stunning tents. Therefore I have decided to collate a few ceiling arrangement ideas which create an amazing style aspect to the tent space. Floristry hoops suspended on the marquee posts. These are really on trend at the moment and lighting and other elements can be added to the suspending hoop to create aspect. At Elderberry Event Hire we love foliage and lanterns which we plan to use regularly over the next wedding season. These will be added to our hire range in the next few months. We plan to incorporated lanterns, festoon lights, Copper Twinkle Light Jars, macramé lanterns and assorted botanicals to complement the event theme of the wedding or party. Below is a fine example of how floristry hoops can be added to a sailcloth marquee to make a truly beautiful feature.

One of the key features of the sailcloth marquee is the ability to incorporate nature into the tent. We recommend bringing in trees and illuminating them with lighting effects. The sailcloth fabric is transparent and captures all the features of the internal trees which creates a beautiful balmy effect to the event, wedding or party. The trees also highlight the grandeur of the sailcloth marquee and really makes a lasting impression design wise to the event attendees. We love using nature, colour, natural products in our event styling and this is a really cost effective way of creating real design impact. Hang lanterns, add twinkle lights or pretty token to the tree to add that extra touch.

Utilise the height of the structural timber veneer posts and decorate these with foliage and floristry. The sailcloth marquee posts are a beautiful feature on their own but add long foliage installations and create a real eye catching centre point to your wedding event space. Wrap these arrangements around the central post or mix them with festoons and extend the foliage with the festoons to the edge of the tent to make the entire marquee roof space a feature.
